NINE years ago, Mathew Wright started working at Rocky's Own Transport Company as a labourer at their Rockhampton Depot.

After gaining experience and spending time upskilling, he's now a professional truck driver with a multi-combination licence and is able to perform a variety of roles for the business.

Human resources manager Trish Crawford said their people are the face of the business and a major contributor in business success and achieving the highest of possible safety standards.

"Our people are our most valuable asset," said Trish.

"You can have the highest quality safety systems and procedures in the world, but without the commitment from your people, you have nothing."

The company, which started 35 years ago, strives to be different, combining a team of highly skilled individuals with the very latest technology, to deliver a superior standard of safety and logistics services to its customers.
