SERIOUSLY ... I'M KIDDING

Light-hearted and funny book
I LOVE Ellen DeGeneres - she's hilarious, not afraid to be herself and speak her mind.
Her memoir and third book, Seriously… I'm Kidding certainly lived up to my expectations.
A lot has happened since her last book in 2003 and she doesn't hold back, sparing no embarrassing details.
The book is funny, light-hearted and original and had me laughing out loud even two pages in - I even laughed when I read the back of the book.
Even if you don't watch Ellen on television, this is an excellent book to read if you want a pick-me-up, or a light-hearted positive read.
It delves a little into her personal life, mentioning her relationship with wife Portia, her modelling career, her time on American Idol as well as some more difficult times in her life.
It's all told with a sense of humour and acceptance and her message is clear - being yourself if the most satisfying feeling in the world.
